Principal's Message

Dear Hillsboro Community,

This week marks a very special and bittersweet moment for our school family. After thirty-seven years of service, Mrs. Pam Trent will be retiring from Hillsboro Elementary School on September 30.

Mrs. Pam has been much more than a secretary. She has been the heart of our building. Known affectionately as our “school mom,” she cared for both staff and students in countless ways. She knew every child and every family by name and greeted each person with warmth as they came through the doors. Her steady presence, kindness, and love have touched generations of Hillsboro families.

She is also a true school legend. Over the years, she became our historian. She carefully preserved pictures, newspaper articles, and memorabilia that tell the story of Hillsboro Elementary. Her dedication has ensured that the history and spirit of our school will live on for years to come.

As we prepare to say goodbye, I ask that you help us honor Mrs. Pam this week. Please consider giving her a call at school, writing her a note, or simply sharing your appreciation with her. A kind word or memory would mean so much as she closes this incredible chapter of service to our school and community.

On behalf of all of Hillsboro Elementary, we thank Mrs. Pam for her love, loyalty, and decades of dedication. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will forever remain a part of Hillsboro.

With gratitude,

Mark Leet

Principal, Hillsboro Elementary School
