FLEMINGSBURG, KY - The Fleming County Board of Education and Fleming County Schools invite parents, guardians, business leaders, and community members to serve on the 2025–2026 Local Accountability Advisory Council (LAAC).

The LAAC is one of the district’s most important councils, charged with helping shape and guide Fleming County’s Local Accountability Model—Measures of Quality (MoQ). This work ensures that our schools reflect the community’s aspirations, expectations, goals, and values while holding ourselves accountable for preparing every student for success.

The Council meets once a month from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Fleming County High School, with lunch and snacks provided.

Fleming County is one of only a few districts in the Commonwealth leading the way in reimagining school accountability. Unlike traditional systems that focus solely on test scores in core subjects, the MoQ captures a broader picture of student success, including real-world skills, workforce readiness, and life preparation.

By joining the LAAC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our accountability system not only measures achievement but also reflects the strengths, needs, and aspirations of the entire Fleming County community.

The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at FCHS.
